Our first holiday in three years, at least not in the UK.
Having not been abroad since summer of 2019 we finally have something booked again. I would love to say we are going on holiday but after cancelling several holidays, due to the virus that will not be spoken of, we don’t feel confident in saying we are going on holiday until we are actually on the aeroplane flying, then and only then might we believe it.
However we are booked in June to go to Kos for one week all inclusive and are staying at what we consider to be an amazing hotel.
This will be a completely different holiday experience for us as we haven’t been on a beach holiday abroad since Samantha was two and Riley was a fifteen week old foetus.
Nana Pat (mine and Lela’s mom) will be coming with us, which is a first for us. Overall we are very excited but a little scared. There have been many reasons over the years we have only done Disney World holidays. We just didn’t think the world would cope with the diversity of our children and therefore have avoided them, the rest of the world not our children. However we are braver now, we have a better understanding of our children and their needs and we care a lot less about what others think. I haven’t ventured outside of the UK or America since becoming disabled which is a concern. We are concerned that there isn’t going to be enough to entertain the kids, when they are used to theme parks every day (gosh they sound spoiled). There are a lot of concerns but if all goes wrong as our motto goes ‘it will end’. I’m sure it will all be fine and we will have a great time but as a special needs Momma (sorry if this is not PC) we panic.
